MXL Microphones, the professional audio division of Marshall Electronics, will unveil the MXL Trophy microphone at this year’s Winter NAMM.

An extraordinary vocal and instrument recording microphone, the Trophy includes a removable nameplate for custom inscription, making it the world’s first condenser mic that can be personalized. “The Trophy is a one of a kind microphone,” notes Jim Mona, MXL’s National Sales Manager. “Nobody out there but MXL offers a studio-quality microphone that can be personalized. It’s the ultimate gift for musicians and singers.”

The Trophy is designed with a 34mm side-tapped capsule and gold-sputtered, 6-micron diaphragm and is phenomenal on both vocals and instrument recordings. The capsule and grill design minimize early reflections and standing waves for sonic perfection in a variety of recording applications.

The Trophy’s chrome finish includes a removable nameplate for a truly custom touch. Owners can inscribe their name, their band, or anything they like and MXL will even pay for the custom inscription. The MXL Trophy includes a wood box, hard-mount microphone clip and micro-fiber cleaning cloth.
